Carrots are good source of carotene (pro-vitamin A) and calcium which is beneficial to the eyes. Carrots eaten by chewing cleanse and strengthen the teeth. Grated carrots mixed with a small amount of salt have beneficial effects on eczema. Carrots contain a hormone known as tocokinin. This is an insulin-like compound which has been proved useful in diabetes.
Experiments have proved that carrot has an ample amount of vitamin E.
